Bur Oak
Bur Oak is a long lived deciduous tree native to North America. It can grow 70 to 90 feet tall, with a broad crown and deeply ridged bark. Its large leaves and bur covered acorns make it easily recognizable. Bur Oak is highly drought and pollution tolerant, thriving in a range of soils, including dry uplands and bottomlands. It provides excellent wildlife habitat, shade, and is a valuable tree for reforestation and urban planting.
